Mother-In-Law Flogs Woman,70, For Refusing To Leave Her 37-year-old Son

Bukirwa Proscovia has agreed to charges slapped against her for attacking 70-year-old Nambi Zabina who got married to her 37-year-old son Ssekiranda Paul and beat her to pulp, breaking her only leg.
Explaining the reasons behind her actions, Bukirwa revealed that she was saddened by the fact that her son would never give her a grandchild because the woman he chose to settle down with was in menopause. She also accused her son of always turning down the young girls they had brought to her to marry and running back to the old woman.
recounts how she got a young girl for his son and pleaded with him to impregnate her and go back to his old woman but Ssekiranda turned down her request.

In his defense, Ssekiranda narrated the problems he had found in dating younger women including aborting his unborn kids, infidelity, laziness among others, forcing him to settle with his old woman.
He also broke down as he narrated the days his mother and sisters always beat him up for moving in with a woman his grandmother age yet he feels at peace with her. From then, Ssekiranda vowed not to abandon her even with one leg, he is confident no one will take her away from him.
The incident happened at Kyanika Village, Kayunga District where the couple stays.

Nambi a former widower stated that after losing her husband with whom they sired four children, Ssekiranda immediately approached her and asked to date her. She agreed and ever since they started a relationship, she is no longer lonely and missing her dead husband.
