When and Where Champions League Draw Will Take Place
UEFA Champions League last 16 draw is scheduled to take place today on Monday 18th December starting at 2:00PM East Africa time at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.
After last round of group stage which will be replaced as from next by ‘Swiss Style’, 36 teams will be participating in a league like tournament with each team facing 8 different opponents.
The top 8 will qualify direct to knockout stage with position 9-24 participating in playoffs in two legged fixtures with winners advancing to round of 16.

Today’s knock out stage draw will include 16 teams from 8 different leagues with La Liga dominating the round with a total of 4 representatives.
Group Winners from each group will be tied with runners up from different group.
Here are Group winners (seeded): Arsenal, Atlético de Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Real Sociedad.
