Most Wanted Gang Leader Mocks Police After Arrest, Promises To Get Out Soon
Police has finally arrested one of the most wanted gang leaders who has been terrorizing the people of Kawempe and surrounding communities.
The criminal, Lukwago Abdul has been on the police’s list of wanted criminals for more than a year and every time there was a plan to arrest him, he would escape until residents spotted him with his goon robbing people of Kaleerwe. They tipped off the police who swung into action and arrested him.
The police led by ASP Rogers Musana faced a hard time arresting the criminals but after a long struggle, they were successfully detained.
Lukwago mocked the police officers saying he would be released soon just like in the past.
Lukwago alias Patrol was named one of the most notorious and dangerous criminals. He has on many occasions been arrested and as soon as he got released, he resumed his habits.
Residents also narrated how he was one time shot in the stomach and as soon as he was discharged from Mulago Hospital, he assembled his goons to terrorize people at the Northern Bypass.
Ssembuusi Musa, a businessman at Kaleerwe revealed that this particular gang move with dangerous weapons and operate at Kawaala, Kaleerwe, Kyebando bridges and areas around Bombo and Mawanda Roads among others.
He is said to attack people in the night, beat them up and later rob them.
“To arrest him, the police had to fight with his gang members who were preventing his arrest to a point that some policemen went away with sever injuries,” Musana said.
Lukwago was taken to Wandegeya Police Station as investigations go on under file number SD REF: 41/6/12/2023
