Nakuru: Police Officer Shoots Four Over Unsettled Hotel Bill

One person has lost his life, and three others have sustained serious gunshot injuries after a police officer allegedly refused to settle a bill amounting to Ksh.16,000.

 

 

According to witnesses report, the incident occurred at around 2 AM on Wednesday where a police officer, stationed at Nakuru Central Police Station, opened fire in a pub before making his escape.

The Nakuru County police commander confirmed the arrest of the officer, who is now detained at Kaptembwa Police Station.

 

 

The victims of the incident were identified as two men and two women.

 

 

Sadly, one woman succumbed to injuries, and her body was taken to the municipal mortuary.

The other female victim is currently undergoing surgery, while the two injured males are reported to be in stable condition.

 

 

The motive behind the officer’s violent outburst over the bill remains under investigation.
