Kajiado Man Shot While Trying To Steal Police Car
Police officers have gunned down a suspect involved in the murder of two people in Kamano, Kajiado county
According to the police report, the suspect was shot dead during his daring attempt to steal a police vehicle.
“The accused, now the deceased, confronted an elderly man with an iron bar, fatally striking him on the head,” revealed David Maina Kabuthia, Loitokitok Police Commander.

The victim’s children raised an alarm, alerting their neighbour who lived 20 metres from their house.
The neighbor rushed to the scene and found the armed suspect standing over the lifeless body.
In a desperate attempt to escape, the suspect confronted the neighbor, striking him multiple times with a hammer, killing him on the spot.
Police officers who rushed to the scene demanded the suspect to surrender, however, he resisted arrest and turned the weapon towards the officers.

He then rushed towards a police vehicle parked on the side of the road and attempted to flee the scene.
“Police officers tried to arrest but with the use of the said iron bar he resisted arrest and aimed at the driver. The police had no other choice but to shoot this person dead,” explained Commander Kabuthia.

Police have initiated investigations to uncover the motive behind the suspect’s heinous act that claimed the lives of two innocent victims.
