Man Kills 19-Year-Old Girlfriend In Ritual Sacrifice

Police in Mityana District are actively searching for a man identified as Muwonge Joseph who is suspected of killing his teenage girlfriend in what is suspected to be a ritual sacrifice.
The body of the deceased identified as Nakamate Jessica was discovered by her landlady Nakku Rose, rotting away inside her rental located in Kitavujja Village, Sekanyonyi Town Council. She stated that the couple stayed together and their entire relationship was full of fights.

She said she noticed the couple’s rental room had been locked from outside for more than a week and none of them suspected that the woman had been murdered. It was after a strong stench came from the house that they knew something was wrong.
Nakku together with other locals reported the sad news to Sekanyonyi police station who in turn alerted Mityana main police station. A team was dispatched to the crime scene.

“We found the body in a decomposing state without a nose and the tongue. It looked like it had spent two weeks inside the house. She was living with her boyfriend who we suspect killed her and locked her inside the house,” Kawala Racheal, Wamala Regional Police spokesperson said, also calling upon friends and family of the suspect who know Muwonge’s whereabouts to hand him over to the police to answer for his crime.
Mityana Police alerted all stations including neighboring regions to arrest the suspect on sight.
