Police Destroys Over 56 KG Of Drugs Worth 3Billion
Uganda Police on 10th November, 2023 embarked on the destruction of over 56 kgs of narcotic drugs and other illicit substances estimated to be valued at Ugsh. 3 billion.
The substances that were destroyed at Nsambya Police Clinic were confiscated at Uganda’s Entebbe International Airport between the years 2020 and 2023. They contained 6 kilograms of cocaine, 7 kilograms of methamphetamine and 42 kilograms of heroin.
An operation was launched and with thorough investigations, the culprits were apprehended and convicted under the law of Uganda.
The destruction process was done in the presence of the Entebbe Grade One Court Chief Magistrate Stella Marisi Amabilisi together with senior officers from Canine, aviation police, CID among others.
