Wells Fargo Employees Flee With QuickMart Supermarket's Ksh.94.9 Million

In a shocking turn of events, two Wells Fargo Company employees are currently on the run after allegedly stealing a staggering Ksh.94.9 million that was intended for delivery to Family Bank, Kenyatta Avenue, on behalf of Quick Mart Supermarket.

 

According to a police report, the two suspects, identified as Anthony Ndiuki, the company’s driver, and Charles Mugetha, were entrusted with the task of transporting the cash.

 

Their journey began at the company’s South C offices at 8:30 a.m. this past Monday. However, they left without the company of a police escort.

 

Subsequently, the duo abandoned the company vehicle, a white Isuzu Canter bearing registration number KBA 517 T, in the vicinity of Dafarm in South C, Langata subcounty.

 

The substantial sum of money collected from Quickmart Supermarket was not left behind.

 

An  alarm was raised when the police officers who were expected to accompany them noticed the absence of the vehicle.

 

George Jaramba, the investigation manager at Wells Fargo Nairobi, alerted the police to the situation.

 

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) from Langata has taken charge of the investigation, with the Officer in Charge of the Station (OCS) visiting the scene for further assessment.
