Mombasa based musician’s family has requested Djs and media to stop playing his songs and rather, wish him a happy end.
During the funeral service of Ally B real name Ali Khamisi Mwanguli, his elder brother who’s also a musician, pleaded with the media to honour the late as per his guidelines.
“Nyimbo zake tosha. Msipige muziki wake. Naomba msicheze mziki wake. Mimi kama Mzee na ndugu yake. Kumbuka kumtilia Dua” Ally B”s elder brother mourned.
The late Maria hitmaker succumbed to Pneumonia at Coast General Hospital on Wednesday evening after a short illness.

Following his death, musicians and politicians mourned the late as a talented person in his living life and a promoter of young talents.
On his burial day, Cabinet secretary for Culture Aisha Jumwa led the mourners as she stipulated a plan to establish a studio in Pwani, as an honour for the late artist.

“The late Ally B will always be revered for his prowess in Coastal music. He has been a symbol of the continuity and cultural heritage of the Coastal people. His talented contribution to this art shall always live in our memories. My heartfelt sympathies and condolences go to the immediate family and the entire region. May his soul rest in eternal peace” Aisha mourned.
Ally B will be remembered for his hit songs Bembea, Kadzo, Maria and Silali amongst many hits of the talented crooner.
