Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) team have arrested two men who kidnapped reported students on 27th Oct, 2023 and hid them in an Airbnb in Elgon View, Kitengela Machakos County.

 

Kidnapped students aged 21, were lured by one lady identified as Debby Zablon in Nairobi shantytown and handed over to kidnappers.

 

Upon the kidnap, the miscreants started requesting for a ransom of Ksh 6M from their parents before release.

 

As per DCI report, kidnappers; Brian Ombasa Omoro 25 and Humphrey Hinga 22, were using a lady who is on the run to lure ‘clients’ and get hijacked.

 

On Thursday, 2nd; DCIs’ hunt led into the arrest of the miscreants in Kitengela hiding themselves in same house they had hid the two students.

Inside the shanty room, DCIs found several fake number plates, sim cards and a pistol amongst other things they were using to fetch money illegally.

 

Deceit lady Debbie Zablon who is on the run, DCIs confirmed that she was using a fake sim card registered under an unknown man who had lost it and reported the matter at Lang’ata Police.

 

Brian and Humphrey are now recuperating in hospital after receiving merciless beatings from angry citizens in Kitengela.
