Notorious Gang Arrested For Aggravated Robbery, Murder

Police in Kasese have arrested five suspected members of the new notorious gang ‘GAZA Boys’ aged below 18 years for terrorizing locals around Nyamwamba Division, Kasese Town and an attempt to murder a businesswoman two days ago.
According to police reports, the criminals used a big stone to break into Anyero Joyce’s room at around 11:30 PM, threatening to kill her if she made any noise to alert the neighbours. They cut the victim on the forehead using a panga before running away with all the money she had made in her market dealings.
“The two men who entered my house were putting on face masks and I couldn’t recognize their faces. They put the panga on my neck and asked me not to scream. They asked me for money that was under my bed and in my cash box. They took everything including all the money under the bed and the cash box plus my phone before cutting my face,” the distressed Anyero revealed.
The LC1 chairman Wakibanahe Fenahasi revealed that at-least five other people had reported being attacked by the gang in a space of one week; one victim had his ear chopped off while others sustained serious injuries on their hands and heads from the violent attacks.
He further warned the landlords to always do a background check on the new people who rent their houses to avoid housing criminals like these. He also called upon the community members to work together to see that the rest of the gang members are arrested.
The five suspects are behind bars as the operation to capture the other members of the gang goes on. Police reveals that the criminals operate as far as Hima Town Council
