Mother Burns Children Over Bean Soup
Police have taken a woman accused of burning her two children using a hot charcoal stove for allegedly stealing beans soup.
The incident happened in Kyabutaika Village in Nakasongola District when 27-year-old Justin Namuwonge burned his daughters Nagenda Fatuma, 6 and Nassuna Hajara, 4 who are both pupils at Kamukama Nursery School, Kakooge.

Speaking about the case, Twineamazima Sam, the Savana Region police spokesperson revealed that Namuwonge lit up the charcoal stove and dipped the toddler’s hands with claims that they stole the soup that she had reserved. She then locked them in the house until they started to rot.
The police were alerted by the Kwagala Resty, a teacher immediately alerted the police who were swift in arresting Namuwonge.

The victims are currently receiving medical treatment at Kakooge Health Center III as their mother is under police custody.
