Man On The Run After Beating Colleague To Death

Police in Nakasongola District are hunting for a man accused of beating to death a colleague during a bar brawl.
The incident happened in a local bar, Wampiti Village, Nakasongola District when the suspect Frank Kanobona and the victim Twizukye Dan, 47 were involved in a fierce fight that broke out while they were out having fun.
The reason for their fight was not established but Twizukye was badly hit on the head. He was then rushed to Nakasongola Health Center IV but unfortunately pronounced dead on arrival due to the injuries sustained during the fight.
The deceased was born in Rukungiri District but had moved to Wabigalo village, Wabinyonyi Sub County in Nakasongola district where he was doing casual work.
Twinamazima Sam, the Savana Region police spokesperson revealed that the police were actively searching for Kunobona who is said to have fled into hiding following the incident. Once apprehended, he will be charged with murder.
