Woman Arrested After Lover Falls Unconscious, Dies During Intercourse

A 23-year-old Kajiado County woman is now in the hands of police officers after her 59-year-old lover died under unclear unclear circumstances on October 18,2023.
The woman identified as Beth Wanjiku, according to report filed at Kitengela Police Station, claims that her lover identified as Joshua Stephen Muirui, visited her at her rental house on Balozi Road.
She prepared meat stew and ugali which they had for lunch before moving to the bedroom for a cosy moment following Muirui’s request.
“She prepared meat stew and ugali which they took for lunch. After eating, he requested that they proceed to the bedroom. At around 1600 hours as they were making love, he fell unconscious.” Police report reads in part

It is then that Stephen lost conscious prompting Wanjiku to place him by her side as she sought for help from one of his friends John Kinywa.
He helped in transporting him to the Pona Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations(DCI) based at Kitengela responded promptly to the scene for their initial assessment.
“Kitengela Police Station, his team and the DCI officers rushed to the scene but did not find any exhibits. The reporter was placed in custody for further interrogation. The scene has been processed and documented,” police report further reads
The deceased was taken to Kitengela Sub County Hospital Mortuary, awaiting a postmortem to ascertain the cause of his death.
