Pastor Mackenzie’s Wife Released
Pastor Paul Mackenzie and wife Rhoda Mumbua
Wife of controversial Malindi Preacher Paul Mackenzie, Rhoda Mumbua, has been released on bond by Shanzu Law Court.
Rhoda was released on a Ksh. 100,000 bond on condition that she attends all court sessions.
In a hearing today , Justice Yusuf Shikanda said that the evidence presented before the court do not directly link Rhoda to any offence. and the prosecution has not given a reason why she should continue to be behind bars.
The court further granted prosecution 60 days to detain Mackenzie and his co-accused, pending further investigation.
Rhoda was arrested on May 2, and has been in police custody alongside her husband Mackenzie, and other suspects linked to the Shakahola cult.
