Kericho: 19 Passengers Narrowly Escape Death As Bus Overturns
Bus overturns in Kericho at around 5 a.m today
19 passengers in a bus headed to Kisumu from Nairobi have narrowly escaped death after a bus they were travelling in overturned atr around 5:30a.m today Monday 3rd July,2023.
In the accident that occured in Siwot area, located along the Londiani-Muhuroni junction road in Kericho County, the driver of the 51-seater vehicle is reported to have lost control of the vehicle, causing it to veer off the road before overturning.
Kericho County Police Commander, Geoffrey Mayek, reported that the victims suffered from general body pains and they have been taken to Fort-Ternan Sub County Hospital for treatment.
“They are currently receiving treatment at Fort-Ternan Sub County Hospital and are in stable condition,” he said.
The driver of the bus reportedly fled the scene following the accident.
