Harambee Stars Drops In Latest FIFA Rankings

On Thursday, Harambee Stars slipped three spots in the most recent FIFA rankings.

With 1191.07 points, the men’s national football team has dropped to position 105 from position 102. The team’s recent poor performances in their past three international friendlies against Iran, where they lost 2-1, then defeated Pakistan 1-0, before losing 1-0 to Mauritius, have been the key reason for the decline.

After falling to 92nd place in the world, Uganda is still the top-ranked country in East Africa, followed by Kenya (105) and Tanzania (123). The top-ranked country in Africa is Morocco, which is placed 13th, followed by Senegal (18), Tunisia (31) Algeria (33) Egypt (34), and Nigeria (39) in that order.

Argentina is the best-ranked country in the world, while France comes in second and Brazil is in third place. England is in fourth place, with the Belgian national team completing the top five best-ranked teams in the world. Croatia, the Netherlands, Italy, Portugal, and Spain complete the top 10 list.
