Nyandarua: Police Officer Murdered In Suspected Love Triangle

A cop from Nyandarua county was found murdered with body parts mutilated in a suspected love triangle.

After a tip off from the public, the officer, Corporal Joseph Kahungu who is 59- years old was found lying in a pool of blood by officers from Turasha Police Station.

His wrist had been cut off from his right hand and his right foot had also been chopped from his leg.

Kahungu who was last seen leaving Turasha Police Station to a nearby shop to purchase cigarettes. It is then that he met John Thiong’o Kinyanjui, his suspected killer who is on the run.

The suspect’s ex-wife has since been arrested to aid in investigation.

“The motive of murder is suspected to be love triangle. The officer was due for retirement on October 24, 2023. The scene was visited by SCPC Kipipiri, DCI Kipipiri, OCS Turasha and processed,”Police report read

Kahungu’s body was moved to JM Kariuki Hospital morgue in Ol Kalou pending investigations.
