Chelsea Announce Signing Of Christopher Nkunku
Chelsea yesterday announced the signing of RB Leipzig forward Christopher Nkunku.
The French forward was crowned the Bundesliga Player of the Season and the German PFA Player of the Season for his 35 goals in all competitions during the 2021/22 season. The dynamic striker added 23 more goals this season, which helped Leipzig win the DFB-Pokal and finish third in the Bundesliga.
Speaking after completing his transfer to Chelsea, Nkunku said he was happy to showcase his qualities in blue.
“I am incredibly happy to be joining Chelsea,’ said Nkunku. ‘A big effort was made to bring me to the club, and I am looking forward to meeting my new coach and teammates and showing the Chelsea supporters what I can do on the pitch in the Premier League, one of the strongest leagues in the world. I am very excited for this challenge and will be proud to wear the Chelsea shirt.” He said.
Chelsea, however, remain busy in the transfer market so that they can accomplish a successful season this coming campaign.
