Gathoni Wamuchomba Gain Praises For Stand Against Finance Bill

Githunguri MP Gathoni Wamuchomba stood firm and opposed a bill that a Government she is part of came up with.

The bold legislator came up with three words: Punitive, oppressive and scandalous, to describe the Bill which has since been passed.

At one point, she announced being ready to lose her position because of opposing the controversial  bill .

“Some people are peddling rumours that am a mole in Azimio One Kenya Coalition Party, I’m not. I am simply on the side of truth but whatever this involvement brings, I’m ready for the eventuality. Whether they remove me from the party and send me to a By-election, I’m ready,” she said

Due to her strong stand to the end which saw her reject the bill, the woman legislator has received praises from netizens.

“The Finance bill is punitive, oppressive and scandalous. For the welfare of the people, I say no to an oppressive bill – Gathoni Wamuchomba jeered by UDA MPs as she opposes the Finance Bill”

The Finance Bill sailing through puts her in a position to convince her voters should things turn south.
