Ababu Revokes Azziad, Radull’s Appointment

Sports Cabinet Secretary(CS) Ababu Namwamba has today Friday 9 June, 2023 revoked a gazette notice that established the Talanta Hela Council and Technical committee in February 2023.

“It is notified for general information of the public that the Cabinet Secretary for Youth Affairs, Sports and the Arts has revoked Gazette Notice No.1649 of 2023,” read the notice in part.

The committee that majorly featured celebrities comprised of Daniel Ndambuki (Churchill), Azziad Nasenya, Esther Akoth (Akothee), Digital Strategist Dennis Itumbi, Carol Radull, Jimmi Gathu and Catherine Kamau

The CS did not however explain the reason behind the action although it comes  days after the constitution of the body was challenged at the High Court.

It should be remembered that the team was appointed to help the government revive and reform the creative industry .
