Manchester City have won the FA Cup after beating Manchester United 2-1 at Wembley.

In their quest for a historic treble, Pep Guardiola’s side started the game on the front foot, as Ilkay Gundogan scored just 15 seconds into the game to give City an early lead.

City continued to push for a second, and De Bruyne’s effort just went wide off the near post, and De Gea saved Haaland’s tame effort.

Manchester United improved their game, and they were awarded a penalty when VAR intervened after Jack Grealish’s handball in his own penalty box and Paul Tierney awarded a penalty kick. Bruno Fernandes calmly scored to level the score at 1-1 going into the halftime break.

In the second half, Manchester United started slow again and gave away a corner kick. Ilkay Gundogan scored his second after connecting De Bruyne’s cross to perfection, and he beat De Gea in the post.

United substitute Garnacho saw his curling effort seal wide off the post, and McTominay’s effort was cleared off the line by John Stones.

Manchester City managed to hold on to the win as Guardiola won his first FA Cup since coming to England.
