Ferdinand Omanyala finished second in the 100-meter race yesterday after being beaten by Kerley.

 

On Friday night, the United States of America’s world 100-meter champion Fred Kerley defeated Kenya’s Commonwealth Games winner Ferdinand Omanyala to win the Florence Diamond League. Kerley, who had just won in Rabat, got off to a strong start and won in 9.94 seconds. Omanyala came in second with 10.5.

 

 

Speaking after failing to win the race, Ferdinand Omanyala said that he will improve going forward. “I just need to go and check what I need to correct. I also cannot complain about anything today, and we build up from there.” “Diamond League is a big platform, so I am happy about my performance and placement today,” he said.

 

It is the second consecutive 100m race in which Omanyala has failed to win especially after finishing third in Amrabat.He will, however, have another chance on June  in Paris.
