Aaron Ramsdale Extends His Contact At Arsenal
Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale yesterday signed a new long-term contract until 2026 at the Emirates.
Ramsdale and Arsenal had been negotiating to extend his contract since the start of the year. The club has now confirmed that the deal has been completed. The new Arsenal contract is valid through 2026, with an additional year on the cards.
The England goalkeeper, who was signed last season from Sheffield United, has impressed a lot in his debut campaign and has been an important part of the Arsenal side that has put up impressive displays the whole campaign.
Speaking after signing the deal, Ramsdale said he was excited.
“It’s a huge amount of pride; it’s something you work for. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been at the club for a month or for four years; you always want to get the next one and push on with the team.
“To get it after two years, I’m buzzing. It just means I can concentrate and keep my head down, and hopefully after a few more years I’ll get another one and carry on living the dream at the football club.” He said
Arsenal also hope to announce a new contract for Bukayo Saka before the end of the season.
