The Miami Heat Eliminates The New York Knicks

The Miami Heat won their Eastern Conference semi-final series in six games by defeating the New York Knicks 96-92 on Friday.

 

 

For the eighth-seeded Miami Heat, Jimmy Butler had eight rebounds and 24 points. Max Strus scored 14 points, Kyle Lowry managed 11 points and nine assists off the bench, and Bam Adebayo finished with 23 points and nine rebounds.

 

 

Jalen Brunson led New York with 41 points,  Julius Randle added 15 points and 11 rebounds; and the Knicks’ RJ Barrett and Josh Hart both scored 11 points.

 

 

Speaking after the game, New York Knicks forward Julius Randle said they would be back. “Disappointed. We wanted and expected more. But we’ll be back,” Randle said of the season. “A lot of good moments. There are a lot of moments of growth that we should be proud of. We’ll take time to re-evaluate and figure out what we can do better to move forward.” He said.

 

The Miami Heat will face off against either the Boston Celtics or the Philadelphia Sixers, who are set to battle it out in Game 7 later today.
