Jamaican Sprinter Shelly-Ann Fraser Pull out Of Kip Keino Classic

Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce has pulled out of the Kip Keino classic slated for tomorrow Saturday at the Kasarani stadium. The 100 reigning World Champion suffered a sudden injury on Thursday while on training.
The Jamaican sprinter would later leave the country for Italy at the wee hours of Friday in the company of her coach Reynaldo Walcott and physiotherapist Keneil Brown to seek specialized treatment
“It’s unfortunate that my stay in Kenya was too short… I was really looking forward to competing in Nairobi. I’m disappointed and feel so sorry for my Kenyan fans. I look forward to coming back to Kenya again,” said Fraser-Pryce.
The 100 metre race will now features Kenyan duo Esther Mbagari and Monica Safania, Hemida Basant of Egypt, America’s pair of Twanisha Terry and Teahna Daniels, Rani Rosius of Belgium and Zoe Hobbs of New Zealand.
Shelly jetted in the country on Tuesday morning ahead of the much hyped athletic tournament. she was among the sprinter who were expected to win the 100 metre race in the women category.
Organisers have since announce fans would access the venue as from 10 am and the entry charges is free.
