Woman Stabs Husband To Death In Domestic Dispute

Police in Arua City are investigating circumstances under which a 23-year-old woman stabbed her husband to death in a domestic browl.
The suspect identified as Amaniyo Mocica is a resident of Ombizevu Cell, Arua Central Division is believed to have killed her husband Muguci Robert, 25, on Sunday morning.
According to police reports, the fight between the couple broke out after the deceased returned late in the night at around 1:30 AM.
“…On 7th May, 2023, the deceased arrived at home and picked a quarrel with the suspect who happens to be his wife over a bag and other household properties,” Angucia Josephine, the West Nile region police spokesperson confirmed.
It was then that Amaniyo picked up a knife and stabbed Muguci, killing him on the spot.
Police were alerted and they rushed to the scene, arresting Amaniyo. She was taken to Arua Central police station for interrogation while the deceased’s body was taken to Arua Hospital for post mortem.
Angucia revealed that domestic violence cases were on the rise in Arua City.
“If you look at this, it is pure domestic violence and we have seen incidents where husbands or wives have been killed in extreme cases. We appeal to family members to resort to peaceful means of resolving disputes,” she said.
