Man Murders Brother Over A Woman
Police in Soronko have opened an active search to hunt down a man that is suspected to have killed his brother over a woman.
According to police reports, the deceased identified as Wanyala Paul was in a secret relationship with the suspect’s wife and on many occasions he tried to warn him but in vain. On this fateful day of the murder, the suspect is said to have trailed him from his work place to his home where he butchered him to death with a machete as revenge.
The suspect whose identity has been concealed by police dragged the deceased’s body and threw it away. It is said that the residents searched for Paul’s corpse for four days until yesterday when it was found and transported to Mbale Referral Hospital mortuary.
The suspect, together with his wife, is currently on the run.
According to Mbale Region police spokesperson, Rogers Tayitika, police have recorded an increase in murder cases especially in Sironko District. He reveals that the authorities have embarked on sensitizing locals about the danger of taking the law into their own hands
