Former KTN News Anchor Sophia Wanuna Lands A New Role In Government


Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has appointed former KTN News Anchor Sophia Wanuna as Deputy Director and Head of Directorate of Public Affairs and Corporate Communication.

 

In a statement released by JSC, the celebrated media personality with over 15 years of experience will be guiding JSC’s communication department as per it’s roles and guidelines.

 

She brings a wealth of experience from the media as an established journalist and newsroom manager,” reads part of JSC’s statement.

 

In response to her new role and appointment, Ms Wanuna has disclosed to be to task and deliver as per required to the growth of JSC’s communication.

 

I appreciate all the wonderful colleagues I had the privilege to work with as a journalist. Grateful for those who have watched me over the years. For the hundreds that I hosted on TV,” Wanuna wrote.

 

Sophia who holds a BA- Communication, specialising in Public Relations from Daystar University, began her journalism career at KBC in 2008 and later joined K24 (Mediamax Network) in 2010.

 

In 2011, she joined KTN(Standard Group) where she served rising to the position of Deputy Managing Editor until early April, 2023.

 

Besides her, on 3rd May; 2023; the JSC appointment ex- Bomet governor Isaac Ruto as its committee member representing the public.

 

Now, Isaac Ruto and Ms Wanuna joins JSC staff in administering justice to the society.
