Everton Face Threat Of Relegation
Leicester City and Everton played to a 2-2 draw on Monday evening at the King Power Stadium as the relegation battle intensified.
The visitors Everton took an early lead through Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who scored from the penalty spot, but Caglar Soyuncu tied the score with a weak shot that slipped by Jordan Pickford. Jamie Vardy was set free by Madison to advance on goal, giving Leicester the lead.
The striker rounded the goalie and slid the ball into the open goal. Leicester had the chance to score another. Following a handball by Michael Keane, Madison stepped up to take the penalty, but his shot went straight down the middle and was blocked by Pickford, who had stood his ground.
10 minutes In the second half, Alex Iwobi scored the leveler for the visitors to make it 2-2. Both sides had the chance to win the game, but they had to settle for a draw.
