Raphinha Shines As Barcelona Moves Closer To Laliga Title

Barcelona beat Real Betis 4-0 to get back on track, with Raphinha scoring and assisting another.

Barcelona took the lead when Raphinha’s cross was met by Andreas Christensen, who gave the Blaugrana the lead.

Lewandowski scored his 19th league goal of the year by turning in a cross from Jules Kounde to add a second. Raphinha scored his first goal since early March to give Barcelona a 3-0 halftime lead.

In a second half with relatively few chances, Guido Rodriguez’s own goal brought the total to four. Lamine Yamal was allowed to make his first-team debut as Xavi’s team continued to control the game.

After the game, Barcelona manager Xavi praised the youngster for his confidence.

“I told him to try things, and he did. At 15 years old, just imagine it… He is special, and he could have even scored tonight, but Silva saved. He played with confidence, and he showed what he is about. He has no fear and bags of talent. Some of his passes in the final third were really good.” He said.

Barcelona leads the standings with 79 points after 32 games played, while Real Madrid has 68 points from 32 games.
