“He’s Not A Killer!”Pastor Paul Mackenzie’s Mother Speaks
Anastasia Mwele,mother to controversial priest has now denied Claims that his son is a killer.
Speaking to a local press, the mother who lives near her son’s Good News International church that was closed down says she had been watching news of the deaths at Shakahola in disbelief.
She further stated that it was even more painful to her hearing people calling her son a killer.
Mwele says as a family, they believe that the bodies might have been buried a long time ago before Mackenzie went to farm and settle in the area.
On the allegations that Mackenzie ordered his followers to starve themselves to death, Anastasia questioned how a person could follow instructions not to eat. She emotionally said that her son is not a killer and swore that if she is defending him wrongly, Jesus should take her life.
The controversial Mackenzie is alleged to have too buried his two wives at the altar of his church in Malindi, a move that made residents resist him as many termed the act weird.
The mother claims that her son stopped preaching in 2019 and left for shakahola forest where he started practiced farming.
This comes when more than 100 bodies have been exhumed from his shakahola farm in kilifi county.
The family however says that Mackenzie was a close friend of Pastor Ezekiel.
