Uhuru Kenyatta Convenes Jubilee Party Delegates Conference In May
Retired President Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta and Jubilee party Leader has convened a delegates convention on May 22 at the Bomas of Kenya.
The former ruling party is set to meet to review, formulate and approve Jubilee party policies.
In a gazette notice, the former head of state said they will receive a status report from the National Executive Committee (NEC) during the convention.
“Pursuant to articles 8.1 and 10.1 of the Jubilee Party Constitution, notice is hereby issued for Special National Delegates Convention to be held on the 22 of May 2023,” the notice read.
This come in the wake of serious division in the party pitting the current secretary general and Eala MP Kanini Kega over the leadership of the party
This is despite the Political Parties tribunal ruling that Kega was lawfully installed as the party’s SG.
The wrangles forced Uhuru Kenyatta to visit the party headquarters to quell the situation.
