Nairobi Man Arrested For Stealing Claims He Is Asthmatic
Polycarp Bwire a Nairobi resident has been fined 10,000 shillings after pleading guilty to stealing sausages from a supermarket in Nairobi CBD.
Bwire who allegedly committed the said offense on April 21st, admitted to have stolen five packets of sausages which amounted to Ksh.1,545, from Naivas supermarket along Muindi Mbingu street.
During his trial,he told the court that he was asthmatic and confessed he stole to make profit by selling the stolen items.
The prosecution while addressing the court stated that Bwire was arrested at the exit door by the security after they established he was a serial shoplifter and he had been previously arrested for shoplifting and thereafter released after being warned by the Naivas supermarket management.
