Rugby Legend Collins Injera Appointed Mwamba Club Technical Director

Celebrated Rugby legend Collins Injera has joined the Mwamba Rugby Club technical bench.

 

 

According to Director of Rugby Fahad Adil Mohamed, Injera joins the coaching unit as the defence and attack coach.

 

 

“We are happy to have Collins join the team. He has been a quality player for club and country and no doubt he will be a huge asset to our technical bench. He is a clubman through and through and he is happy to continue working with us. I am excited to start working with Peter and the rest of the staff, and to join the Mwamba Rugby in its rebuilding journey. The current crop of players is made up of young, hungry and good quality players who are eager to learn and improve,” said Fahad

 

 

In january 2023, Injera announces his retirement after a 17 year spell. He has since been inducted in the Melrose Hall of Fame

 

 

Injera also is remembered as the second all-time top try scorer on the prestigious HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series with 279 tries.

 

 

Injera will work closely with Peter Kepher who is in charge of skills and development coach.

 

 

The new Head coach will be unveiled at a later date.
