Vyuma Vinakulana? Screen Couple Lofty, Fridah Mwaka Raise Eyebrows
NTV screen couple Lofty Matambo and Fridah Mwaka have for long time been suspected by news lovers and social media users to be in a romantic love relationship.
The two Swahili News Anchors who at times put on matching outfits and expressing scintillating sweet talks to each other, have often left fans questioning whether they are secretly in love relationship.
Days ago, Loft Matambo nearly referred to himself as Fridah at the end of their evening news bulletin; implying a sign of close proximity.
On Maskani 47 show on Radio 47; Billy and Mbaruk boldly put the two media “couple” on air to disclose their close proximity; where Matambo nicknamed Fridah – Kichuna.
The duo who Umbea guys wanted to disclose to the public on whether they were dating despite each being married, Fridah claimed their love is for long time friendship and profession.
This came out after Billy Miya popularly known as Kamanda wa Hizi Shughuli, attended Akothee’s wedding where he claimed having seen the “couple” dressed to kill and posing photos as married couple.
” This is beyond chemistry. I have been defending Lofty for a long awhile but no! Rubber imeisha, vyuma vinakulana mahali.
” A woman driving the vehicle of a man, going together to watch movies at the theatre, kushona vitenge! This is beyond chemistry. Rubber imeisha, vyuma vyinakulana mahali bro” Billy told Wambea.
However, following Billy’s bold claim on air, Lofty dismissed the claims of dating and the doubting chemistry between him and his Kichuna- pacha wake.
He claimed he’s Kichuna’s boss, mentor, colleague and a friend but not dating. But when asked on why the two dorned matching outfits during Akothee’s wedding, Lofty went silent and Fridah’s phone cracked the doubting voices allowing Billy to be comical on it.
” Kakangu, mwaga unga nami nimwage ugali. Kwenye harusi, nilikuwa mpiga picha wake tena mwenzake.
” Nami kama mtumishi wa Mungu, biblia inasema walikuja kwa njia moja lakini nitawatawanya” Lofty responded to Billy’s question about dorning in matching outfits.
When Fridah on her side asked on the matching outfit, her phone cracked on air prompting Billy to claim; “waonaaaaa vyumaaa vinakulanaaaaa”.
Concerning Fridah’s claim to walk down the aisle in a wedding gown; the media personality defended herself on air by claiming she’s a fashion gaffe.
“ I am a fashion and designer. When I say I’ll put on a gown, doesn’t mean a wedding but it may be any dress. As a woman, we women love memories and surprises. Admiring a gown is a must for a woman” Fridah defended.
Fridah walked down the aisle of marriage on 30th, November 2019 in Kilifi, a wedding attended by brides team including Sugar Boy and Lofty Matambo.
During the wedding, the two – Sugar Boy and Matambo dressed in black and white striped attires; witnessing Fridah marrying her young age friend Samuel Nguma Nduli, an architect.
On Tv screen, Fridah prefers using her own name rather than adding her husband’s name. On the public domain, she has been quoted claiming before marriage, she had already made her name a brand which her husband agreed to.
” We agreed that matters do to with my career, ni maisha yangu. Akaniambia at the end of I am your husband” Fridah said in one radio interview.
Loft Matambo, former KTN News Anchor tied the knot with his home county girlfriend Mary Matete in April 2016. However, he has kept his marriage out of social media especially more about his wife Mary.
