Son Heung-Min Hits Historical EPL Record

South Korean International Son Heung-min scored his 100th EPL goal to help his employers Tottenham Hotspur beat Brighton 2-1 at home.

 

 

The goal now makes Son, a South Korean Trained Military Officer,  the first player from Asia to score 100 goals in the history of English Premier League. Son, who started his soccer career with Seoul FC in 2008, has spent 8 years spell at Tottenham having joined the England club in 2015 from Bayer Leverkusen.

 

Another Spurs goal was scored by captain Harry Kane who now has 25 goals this season, while Brighton were wiped out by Lewis Dunk.

 

The victory against Brighton moved Spurs into fifth place with 53 points, three behind Manchester United and Newcastle United. Brighton are in seventh place with 46 points, one behind number six Aston Villa who swept Nottingham Forest 2-0.
