Primary School Pupil Survives Being Poisoned By Relatives

Pupils of North Road Primary School in Mbale took to the streets and caused chaos after one of their fellow pupils survived being poisoned through eats that were given to him by relatives.

According to reports, some yet to be identified relatives of a primary three pupil sent him a bottle of soda and pastries that had poison in them as later confessed by the shop keeper where the eats had been bought from.

The boy’s mother had warned him beforehand never to allow foodstuffs from strangers, especially relatives, something that prompted him to report to his teachers as soon as the package was handed over to him.

The teacher who listened to the pupil’s report took initiative and called his mother to alert her about the child’s decision, which she agreed to. It is said that after two hours, the teachers tried to give the eats to the boy since it was break time but to their surprise, they had turned color, a sign that they were poisoned.

With the help of the boy, the school administrators traced the shop where the eats had been bought and when they confronted the shopkeeper, she revealed that a group of unknown people approached her shop and bought the eats but bribed her to put poison in them by giving her money.

Following the shopkeeper’s confession, the pupils who had converged outside the shop to witness what was going on tried to lynch her but she was luckily saved by the police who arrived on time.

The shopkeeper was taken into custody to help police track down the people that bribed her into poisoning the little child.

The child’s mother who rushed to the school after hearing the news made a shocking revelation that her son was being hunted by relatives who want to take the piece of land that was willed to him by his father who passed on. She says she ran away from her marital home to protect her child from relatives who have tried all possible means to kill him.
