Philippine Christian devotee Wilfredo Salvador has been  nailed to a Cross in San Fernando, Pampanga province today during the re-enactment of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ on Good Friday.
His crucifixion is meant to emulate the suffering that Jesus went through as our Maker purposed to liberate man from sin.
According to the Christian Bible, the wage of sin is death. Therefore, for God to save human beings who had sinned at the Garden of Eden, He had to sacrifice his only son to fulfil the scriptures in doing so.
Today as Christians mark the day Christ was crucified Eight Phillipines were nailed on the cross in an event that attracted hundreds of tourists and onlookers.
The tradition in the region has resumed following a three year pause as a result of the Global Covid-19 Pandemic.
