One Dead, Others Injured As Two School Buses Collide In Kirinyaga

One person has been confirmed dead and several  students injured after two school buses collided.

The buses had a side collision along the Kagio-Baricho road in Kirinyaga County this morning.

According to a resident of the area, they heard noises  prompting them to rush to the accident scene only to find that the buses had collided.

“We rushed and rescued the students from the bus and took those who were severely injured to the hospital,” the resident stated.

The buses were taking children to school before the accident occured.

Welders also arrived at the scene to pierce through windows as residents rescued victims.
