Chinese Man Kills Two Pupils, Injures Three In Road Crash

Territorial Police in Kassanda, Central Uganda have arrested a Chinese national for causing an accident that killed two pupils on spot and left three injured on Tuesday.
According to police statement, Haizhanga Zhao who was driving a Toyota Hilux plate number UAU 001V ran through the five juveniles in Kamusenene Village along Lubaali, Bukuya Road in Kassanda District.
Facts gathered indicate that Haizhanga was trying to overtake a truck loaded with logs and knocked down the children who were all going to Glory Nursery and Primary School.
The deceased were identified as Jonathan Matovu, 5 and Nantongo Buriana, 6, all residents of Kamusenene.
The three injured children who are yet to be identified were rushed to Mityana Hospital for medical attention while the bodies of the deceased were transported to Kassanda Health Center IV for postmortem.
According to ASP Kawala Racheal, Haizhanga is in police custody and the wrecked motor vehicle parked at Bukuya Police as inquiries and investigations continue.
