Ex- Gay Man To Be Imprisoned After Testifying To Have Received Salvation
Former gay man Matthew Grech would go to jail and serve five months in prison with a fine after testifying of changing and knowing God.
Grech a Maltese citizen in Europe disclosed his salvation journey on CBN media program named Faithwire Daily last week on how he is devasted of the humiliating laws choking his throat.
The former gay was invited to Faithwire Daily’s show to testify his salvation after his story first aired on one Maltese local media outlet by two Prime News Anchors.
When invited on Faithwire’s Daily show, he testified of formerly being a gay until one day he was invited in church that something strange moved in him, marking the change of his gaysim lifestyle.
“I was quite interested in New Age. I wanted to become a reiki master. So, I was involved in the occult to some extent as well as being fascinated by energy” he disclosed before following God’s ways.
After experiencing a strong unique move while at the church, Grech said he finally felt pity and heartbroken about his gaysm lifestyle and accepted a complete and permanent change in his life.
“I stumbled upon Bible verses on homosexuality one day. I had never heard homosexuality addressed from a pulpit before, but I was really challenged and I remember just really wanting to be in the will of God” Grech recalls.
However, the LGBTQ activist say, he was demoralised after sharing his story with the Maltese journalists on the local media outlet about gaysm as far as LGBTQ is concerned; when police officers called him to present himself to court for ‘promoting LGBTQ on media‘.
“Police gave me a call and said; … ‘Three people reported you with the presenters as well because you were breaching Maltese law which says that you cannot advertise so-called conversion practices,” he said.
Following the incident in what Grech thought was testifying his former evil lifestyle but now a reformed and saved christian, he turned up to the police with his lawyer and exercised the right of silence.
In Europe, Malta in 2016 became the first European country to ban the attempts to repress, eliminate one’s sexual orientation and attempts to change sex by which whoever breaks the law, is prone to a fine and jail term.
Grech who is now a staunch christian, clergy and also an ant- LGBTQ activist; is more than worried about his life which he admits of being imprisoned because of the tough LGBTQ laws constituted in Maltese constitution.
“It’s the first time in my life I have to face a criminal court for simply sharing my Christian faith. That’s what it is … sharing the hope that we have and sharing the reasoning behind what we believe.
“The worst case scenario is that I would go to prison for five months or that I would face a 5,000 Euro fine in Malta. What could happen as well is that, if we win it, the police will choose to appeal us and it will just go on for longer than we expect” Grech said.
As he wait to appear before Maltese Court on 9th June, Grech and his team believes in case the court allows them to give testimonies about LGBTQ stories, they will win the case.
“I’m really looking forward to this day because I believe that it’s time for us to show the real face of what has been put into legislation, and we need to just really remain bold and uncompromising in our witness” Grech added.
