Larry Madowo Vows Not To Pay For Twitter Verification Badge

CNN international Correspondent Larry Madowo has Now said he’ll not pay for the blue Twitter verification badge joining a long list of celebrities who have vowed not to do the same.
In expressing the his point of view highlighted the risk of one impersonating him by creating a different account in his name and paying for its verification.
“I have no plans to pay for Twitter Blue at this time and neither does CNN. Twitter says my blue checkmark will soon disappear – after 12 years of being verified. Anyone will be able to create an account in my name and get it verified for $8 (Sh1,060). What could possibly go wrong?”he wrote
He further claimed that the company’s decision of charging it’s users for verification still wouldn’t solve impersonation issues.
The decision has been met with different reactions all over the world with others saying it’s a way to support the service across the globe while others claim it’s a target to grab cash from small accounts.
Other celebrities including LeBron James, an NBA superstar, also have declared that they would not be paying for Twitter verification.
