Graham Potter Sacked By Chelsea
Graham Potter has been sacked as Chelsea Manager after an embarrassing 2-0 defeat at the hands of Aston Villa over the weekend.
Potter had signed a five-year deal with the London-based club in September, to replace Thomas Tuchel at the helm. Tuchel is now Bayern Münich Manager.
Things seemed to have run out of hand for Potter for the last six-month spell with the Blues. Having lost 10 games in the Premier League already this season, the Blues sit in 11th position in the table.
Due to this, the club have now confirmed the decision to let Potter leave.
“Chelsea FC has announced that Graham Potter has departed the club. Graham has agreed to collaborate with the Club to facilitate a smooth transition’’.
“In his time with the club, Graham has taken us to the quarter-final of the Champions League, where we will face Real Madrid. Chelsea would like to thank Graham for all his efforts and contribution and wish him well for the future.”
Chelsea on Tuesday will be facing Liverpool in a premier league match and its not clear if the club would have replaced Potter by then.
