Parents Drive Daughter-In-Law Away Over Son’s Underdevelopment

Residents in Nakaseeta, Kayunga District witnessed drama after parents ordered their son to let go of his second wife who they accused of being non-developmental and useless.
The decision was made during the village meeting that was chaired by district’s representative Collins Kafeero where Godfrey Tomusange together with his second wife, Teopista Nakimera had been summoned to.
Tomusange’s first wife Namutebi Elizabeth with whom they sired four children reported the matter and accused the love birds of always getting drunk and selling off all the property that she toiled so hard to purchase with her husband before he became a nuisance. He uses the money obtained from the sale to buy alcohol with his new wife.
“All they do is buy crates of beer and jerry cans of local brew, take them into their house and get drunk. My child bought beddings for her father but I know they sold them off too.” Namutebi revealed.
Namutebi further pinned her husband for abandoning his responsibilities as a family man including neglecting their children and failing to pay school fees.
“He has sold off all my children’s property yet we worked together to buy them. This woman has brought and added nothing onto him yet he keeps praising her. He stopped taking care of his home and providing school fees to our children,” she said.
During the meeting, Ventura and Alice Mbeiza narrated how their son was a responsible and hardworking family man before he met Nakimera. They attribute his success and the few properties he had acquired to Namutebi’s resilience.
The love birds denied the allegations slapped against them and left the meeting in shame.
