Eric Omondi Arrested While Matching To Statehouse With CVs
Popular and celebrated comedian Eric Omondi has been arrested this morning.
Omondi was arrested while matching to statehouse Nairobi with loads of CVs packed in a Cart (Mkokoteni). The self proclaimed president of comedy had earlier asked jobless Kenyans to send him their CVs so that he can physically present them to President William Ruto to seek jobs for them.
However, it was not clear if people heed to his call and sent him the papers. From the videos, Eric is seen pulling the cart alone along Kenyatta Avenue next Serena Hotel with a placard written ”STATEHOUSE EXPRESS. CVS”. statehouse is a few meters from Serena hotel.
Before reaching the statehouse road, Eric was bombarded with police officers who rolled him into a land-cruiser and whisked him away.
”Shikeni huyu mtu officers.. anademostrate ya nini? ….anaendaje statehouse?” one of the officers was heard saying.
Eric Omondi is not new to controversy. A fortnight ago, he was arrested twice as he was trying to distribute food at City Stadium. this came as he was also arrested while demonstrating outside parliament as demands for lowering of food price.
