Ruto: I’ll Make Numerous Visits To Nyanza Region
President William Ruto today toured Migori as he marked the end of his three day tour in South Nyanza region.
He hilariously acknowledged the small number of votes he garnered from the region against his main competitor Raila who hold the region as his political bedrock.
“Nilikuja hapa kuwaomba kura lakini mlinipimia kura sana(I came to this region to ask for your votes but you got were very mean ).”he said as the crowd burst out in laughter
He went ahead to assure Nyanza residents of his love despite the minimal votes he got.
“Ile kura mlinipatia nasema asante sana(thank you for the votes I got from you)”
In what seemed as a strategy to lure the community into walking together with him in his political journey, the President has noted visiting the region numerous times in the near future.
“Mambo bado, mimi nitakuja huku Nyanza mpaka mchoke na mimi. Nitatembea hapa mpaka tuelewane tutembee pamoja(I’ll visit the region many times until we agree to work together,” the head of state concluded his speech to the residents.
Ruto has made several visits in the Nyanza region since he was elected as the country’s President as he had previously visited Homabay to launch affordable housing programme.
