Policeman Discovered Dead In His Bathroom
The late Rerikayo Charles was found dead on his bathroom floor
Police in Kyotera District are actively investigating the sudden and mysterious death of one of their own who was found lying lifeless in the bathroom.
The deceased was Identified as Rerikayo Charles, 33, and before his death, he served as a police driver at Kalisizo police station in Kyotera District.
Giving an account of his death, Kyotera District Police Commander, Musooba Hassan revealed that the deceased called officers whom he was meant to drive to work at around 5:00 Am. When they tried contacting him, he was not picking their calls prompting them to go over at his home. They broke his house window and to their surprise, Rerikayo’s lifeless body was lying cold on the bathroom floor.
Musooba insists that the deceased was in good health previously and his manner of death came as a shock to people around him. He remembered him as a very friendly person who cracked jokes with his friends.
The body of the deceased was rushed to Masaka referral Hospital and according to the postmortem, he had succumbed to heart failure. On this account, Musooba advised all police officers to always make it a routine to do medical checkups so they know their health status.
The deceased will be laid to rest at his ancestral home in Adjumani District, West Nile.
