Jealous Man chops Off Lover’s Hand, Reproductive Organ Over Cheating Allegations

Police in Mukono are actively searching for a jealous man who butchered his lover of two months after suspecting her of cheating.
The victim identified as Jennipher Nakkazzi, 37, a resident of Nabiyaaji, Kyampisi says she met 27 year old Paul Watenga while he was working in a tea estate at Kaganda Village. Prior to the incident, police report that Watenga met his lover with another man identified as Isaac who had gone to pick his hoe and accused them of having an affair.
And as he drew his panga, Nakkazzi tried to defend the man but turned to her and butchered her, cutting off her hand and chopping her legs on Tuesday evening.
“Watenga got out the panga and cut Nakkazzi several times on the hands, shoulder, legs and in the private area.” Deputy Police spokesperson Kampala Metropolitan Police Deputy Spokesperson, Luke Owoyesigirye said.
After the gruesome crime, Watenga folded Nakazzi into the blue heavy duty waterproof cloth and locked her inside the house before fleeing the scene. The residents were alerted by the victim’s two year old son who was crying in the house.
Nakkazzi was rushed to St. Francis Hospital Naggalama for first aid by Nakibano parish Priest, Fr. Simon Peter Ssesanga. She was received by Sr. Nafula Prossy and while discussing the extent of the damage, she revealed that Nakkazzi lost her left arm and sustained deep cuts on the shoulder, right hand, head and the two legs which were broken.
The victim will be transported to Mulago Referral Hospital for free medication since she cannot afford the fees at the hospital.
“We also buy the sundries and they are so expensive lately. So if we are to commit ourselves to helping her and offering the services for free, then it will affect us greatly.” Prossy said.
The couple had been together for only two months and according to Nakkazzi, her friends tried to warn her beforehand about how dangerous Watenga’s actions were but she paid no attention since there was no known victim of his violence.
“Every man that he sees you hanging around with, he says you are in a relationship. My friends warned me about how he would separate me from everyone but I did not listen. For a long time he has been warning me that he would butcher me but I thought they were joking.” She said.
Watenga is currently on the run and once apprehended, he will be charged with attempted murder.
