Maseno University Student Shot Dead In Today’s Protest

As the protest continued with protestors engaging police in running battles and lobbing of teargas, a Maseno University student became unlucky.
The student identified as William Mayenga, a third-year student pursuing English Literature, was one of the protestors protesting along the Kisumu-Busia highway when police opened their fire arms which unfortunately got him killing him on the spot.
The students of the institution had come out to protest in solidarity with other Azimio supporters when the unfortunate happened.
As seen in a video going round in Social media, his colleagues identified him instantly asking for an ambulance to come and ferry their fellow.
“Wameua student, iteni ambulance,”one man shouts in the viral video.
The students claim that their fellow was shot by a woman police officer who they can identify as she was conspicuous from among her fellow cops.
The institution is yet to release news on the demise of one of its comrade.
